Tpl. Dr. Olakunde Akinola David is the current Director/HOD of the Urban & Regional Development Department, Federal Ministry of Works & Housing, Abuja. He attended the University of Ibadan where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Geography in 1986, Masters in Urban and Regional Planning in 1990 and Doctor of Philosophy in Urban and Regional Planning in 2014.
Also, he obtained Masters of Business Administration in Accounting in 1999 from Abia State University, Uturu. He joined the service of the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1990 as a Town Planning Officer I in the then Federal Ministry of Works and Housing and rose to post of a substantive Director in the same Ministry in year 2020.
He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) as well as Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC). Also he is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) as well as being a fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
He has served in different capacities in various committees in the service. In the course of his service, he has attended several local and international courses and conferences.
He loves farming as well as spending time with his family and friends.
