Adebiyi, Olusesan Olufunso was born into industrious family of farmer and trader on 8th January, 1968 in Kabba, Kogi State, but is an indigene of Ise-Ekiti town in Ise/Orun Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
He started his early education at St. Andrew Primary School Kabba, before proceeding to Ekiti Parapo College, Ido-Ekiti, Ekiti State where he obtained G.C.E O/Level in 1983 and then proceeded to Oyo State College of Art and Science, Ile-Ife and obtained G.C.E A/Level in 1985. He then proceeded to the then University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife where he obtained B.Sc (Hons) Civil Engineering in 1990. He also obtained MBA from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State in 2003.
His working career with the Federal Government of Nigeria began as an Aerodrome (Airport) Engineer I in 1994 and progressed to the level of Assistant Director (Safety and Technical Policy) since 2011. He lead the project team for the Design, Construction and Supervision of various Airport across the country, this include design and supervised the construction of Gombe Airport, Uyo Airport, Asaba Airport, Kebbi Airport, Azare Airstrip among others. He was also involve in Project Management of capital projects at the Nation’s Airports for compliance with international standards and practices, these include; extension and expansion of Yola Airport Runway, Taxi way and access and internal roads, Complete resurfacing of Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport Runway, Taxi way and Apron in Kano, Extension and expansion of Enugu Airport pavements, Enugu. Survey, design and construction Supervision of Osubi Airstrip, Warri. Complete resurfacing of Murtala Mohammed Internation Airport Runway, Ikeja Airport, Lagos among others.
He was also a part time lecturer at Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria and Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria training school, Lagos.
He was posted to Ecological fund office as Deputy Director (Soil Erosion and Control) in 2011 and was later promoted to Director (Civil Engineering) in 2015. He was in charge numerous Soil and Gully Erosion Control works in Nigeria. These include; Abia State University Gully Erosion site, Abia State, Nkisi Water Works Erosion Control, Onitsha North LGA, Anambra State, Sakamori/Nwangene Flood Control/Dredging Project Project, Onitsha, Anambra State, Flood/Erosion and Road Improvement Measures at Alor Town, Idemili LGA Anambra State, Nekede (Umumbazu) Gully Erosion Control Owerri West LGA Imo State, Channelization of Iyi okwu & Iyiudele Stream in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Rehabilitation of Kubani Dam, ABU, Zaria, Kadduna State, Flood Control works and river training, Boto, Bauchi State, Road construction/reconstruction works, Nekede, Oweri, Imo State, Bridge and culvert construction/reconstruction works, Mubi, Adamawa State.
He was moved to Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs in May 2016 as Director (Housing and Urban Development) where he executed project such as; Construction of Internal Roads and Side Drains for Housing Estate for each of the Nine Niger Delta States, Construction of Internal Roads and Infrastructure at Skill Acquisition Centers in each of the Niger Delta States, Construction of Blocks of Classrooms for Each of the Niger Delta States, and Construction of Health Centers for Each of the Niger Delta States.
He is currently in Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing as Director Highways Construction and Rehabilitation in charge of Major Construction and Rehabilitation of Federal Highways Nationwide.

He is married to a wife and four (4) children.
